Collage "Women of the Prix Pictet since 2008"
Collage – Women Photographers on Sustainability
A focused and striking collection of work by 64 contemporary women photographers shortlisted for the Prix Pictet—the leading global award for photography and sustainability. These images don’t illustrate problems; they confront them. Climate collapse, displacement, environmental loss—seen through the lens of artists who bring clarity, nuance, and vision to urgent global issues.
With essays by Sally Mann and Jan Dalley, and a conversation between Prix Pictet director Michael Benson and Mexican icon Graciela Iturbide, who reminds us: ‘the photographer’s job is to synthesize, to make strong and poetic work from daily life.’
This book is exactly that. A carefully edited document of presence, resistance, and quiet force—each frame a reminder of what’s at stake.
There’s something in these images—quiet but insistent—that stays with you. I love having this book around as a reminder that strong work doesn’t need to shout. It listens, frames, and reclaims space. Just like the best pieces in any collection.

Product information
Take care of your clothes and they’ll last beyond seasons.
-
Wash less, air more.
-
Follow fabric-specific care: wool and silk prefer gentle hand wash or dry cleaning; cotton and synthetics can be washed cold.
-
Avoid tumble drying when possible — it shortens the lifespan of fibers.
-
Store knits folded, not hung, to keep their shape.
-
Leather ages best with occasional conditioning and proper storage.
Cotton
A fabric that carries everyday life. Breathable and versatile, softening with time and wear. Denim and jersey tell their stories through fading, stretching, and the patina of repeated use. We value cotton for its honesty — a fabric that grows better with you.
Wool
A natural insulator, warm yet breathable. Wool regulates temperature, resists odor, and is built for longevity. From fine merino to heavy knits, it balances softness and strength. We see wool as a living material — one that requires care but rewards it with decades of use.
Linen
Light, durable, and textured. Linen creases not as a flaw, but as its language: marks of movement, evidence of wear. It is strongest in simplicity — airy shirts, loose trousers, summer layers that hold both fragility and resilience.
Silk
Smooth, lustrous, delicate. Silk carries light differently from any other fabric — it reflects, shimmers, and changes with movement. While fragile to care for, it is unmatched in presence. We treat silk as a fabric of occasion and attention.
Leather
A material that never stops evolving. Leather holds memory — every crease, scratch, and patina is a record of time. Conditioned and cared for, it lasts for generations. We see leather as a dialogue between craft and use, where the wearer becomes part of its design.
Blends
Sometimes fabrics are combined — natural with synthetic — to create balance: strength, flexibility, stretch, or weather resistance. We respect blends when they serve purpose and longevity, not trend. A thoughtful blend can bring durability and comfort without compromise.
